Who you are
- 3+ years of experience in account management in health insurance or employee benefits
- Strong track record of successful account management and retention
- Ability to travel up to 30% across the greater Jacksonville/Tallahassee, FL area
- Bachelor's Degree
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- A strong sense of ownership, a bias for action, and superior problem-solving skills
- Ability, and excitement to work in a fast-paced dynamic startup environment
- Current Florida State Health and Life insurance license in good standing (preferred)
What the job involves
- As an Account Manager, you'll act as the primary liaison for existing groups, ensuring their satisfaction and retention through proactive relationship management
- You'll attend client meetings across Georgia, providing education and enrollment support, while also identifying potential roadblocks and collaborating with internal teams for successful resolution
- Serve as the primary liaison for existing groups, maintaining positive relationships, and driving group satisfaction and retention
- Attend virtual and in-person client meetings across Florida to build relationships with groups, conduct education meetings, and provide enrollment support
- Lead renewal discussions, including negotiating terms and pricing to drive retention while balancing business objectives and client needs
- Proactively identify potential obstacles to group success and collaborate with internal teams to develop strategic solutions
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless implementation and optimize the group experience
- Oversee resolution of escalated issues by responding swiftly and managing client inquiries, concerns, and requests

Sidecar Health’s insurtech platform allows users to tailor their own flexible healthcare plans based on their individual needs and budget. One of its main advantages outside of its flexibility is how the company doesn't use its own dedicated network of doctors, allowing the customer to see whomever they like while negating its own need to build nationwide networks.
Furthermore, it allows users to search and compare local health providers, and pay directly for care through its own payment card, often at a discount to what legacy insurance providers charge. Sidecar’s offering allows for better flexibility, more transparency and fewer financial burdens for unnecessary coverage areas.
The company has garnered plenty of praise and financial backing for its consumer-centric approach. Its 2024 funding raise positions Sidecar Health as a major disruptor in the market. That said, future growth will depend on how well it can expand its nationwide footprint, take on the legacy healthcare providers and work its way into employer and government-sponsored plans. 2026 expansions into the state of Texas show it is making progress on these fronts.
