Who you are
- CISO (or equivalent) experience at a large manufacturing company providing in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity, technologies, and best practices
- Proven track record in cyber security frameworks and standards
- Significant background, knowledge and experience of assessing information security risks, vulnerabilities and threats and appreciation of the business impact of CIA to those information assets
- Experience of security improvement programmes and delivering continuous improvement activities to build an enhanced security posture
- Knowledge of current legal regulatory requirements for information security and ability to translate those to JM’s business and IT operations
- Extensive knowledge and experience of IT and security standards and their relationships to legal regulatory requirements, ensuring an effective, integrated approach to cyber security controls for mitigation of information security risks to the business
- Experience of assimilating organisation-wide knowledge of its information assets and their value to the business
- Knowledge of IT General Controls and Internal Controls for Financial Reporting as well as the implementation of them
- Proven experience of operating with and developing relationships with C-Suite and Board members
- Significant knowledge and experience of: IT Governance Formulation, Business Risk Management, Business Strategy Formulation, Technical Change Management, Business Scenario Development
- Knowledge and experience of delivering IT Transformation, Operating Models and Sourcing strategies
- Knowledge and experience of: IT Financial Management, IT Audit, IT Continuity Management and Configuration Management
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) experience and application within a large enterprise
What the job involves
- The role of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is to ensure the security of the company’s information assets and IT infrastructure
- The CISO is responsible for the cybersecurity function and all aspects of cyber security including strategy, engineering, security operations and cyber awareness as well as IT governance, risk management and compliance
- Develop and execute an enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy which balances cyber security needs with the company’s strategic business plan
- Provide direction and guidance to the cybersecurity team and collaborate with other IT departments to ensure a holistic approach to cybersecurity
- Ensure the JM Global Leadership Team and Board are adequately briefed of the security risks and environment and initiatives to remediate
- Ensure that JM cyber security risks are identified and managed on a continuous basis through appropriate levels of people, process and technology measures aligned to industry standards
- Identify and implement risk mitigation strategies, including developing cybersecurity programme activities as well as overseeing incident response and recovery plans
- Establish effective cybersecurity governance to manage risks and align with business objectives
- Develop information security polices, standards and procedures that provide adequate business protection based on risk and manage their adoption across the enterprise
- Build and drive a high performing cybersecurity team providing mentoring, guidance, professional development paths, fostering an environment of collaboration and inclusivity, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Take direct line management responsibility for existing cyber security teams, including:
- Threat and Vulnerability Management
- Security Engineering
- Security Operations
- Security Transformation
- IT Governance, Risk and Assurance including IT General Controls
- Demonstrate technical proficiency and comfort with hands on tasks related to cybersecurity technologies, Operational Technology, incidents and investigations, penetration testing and security tool deployments
- Develop and oversea incident response plans and the testing of them, including communication strategies and coordination with relevant stakeholders
- Identify and propose annual information security budgets and own and maintain relationships with key vendors and service providers
- Always ensure that company Policies, Standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are adhered to

With its core business booming, it is aiming to focus on research into sustainable catalysts and renewable fuel cell technology which will enable it to increase the 90% of its products that are contributing to a greener economy to 100% by 2040.
