Who you are

  • This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical aptitude who can translate complex technologies into clear, impactful narratives
  • 3-5 years of product marketing experience, with a strong background in product launches and GTM strategy
  • Open to candidates in U.S. time zones, including Canada and Latin America
  • Technical aptitude - Ability to explain complex technologies in a simple, compelling manner
  • Experience in fraud prevention, identity, or cybersecurity is preferred but not required
  • Startup experience is a must; candidates from large tech companies will be considered if they have prior startup experience

What the job involves

  • As a Product Marketing Manager, you will own all aspects of product launches, drive competitive intelligence, shape messaging, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring our solutions to market
  • Your expertise will help shape the way we position our products, enabling customers to understand and derive value from Fingerprint’s powerful device intelligence capabilities
  • You will work closely with Product Managers to understand release schedules, define target audiences, develop go-to-market (GTM) strategies, and enable sales teams with effective positioning and collateral
  • Develop and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies for new product launches, ensuring alignment across product, marketing, sales, and customer success teams
  • Create product positioning, messaging, and launch assets that clearly articulate Fingerprint’s value to customers
  • Train internal teams on new product capabilities and market positioning
  • Work closely with the product team to provide insights from the market, customers, and competitive landscape to shape product development
  • Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring roadmap decisions align with user needs and market opportunities
  • Translate technical product capabilities into compelling value propositions for various audiences
  • Own competitive analysis by monitoring the market landscape, analyzing competitor strategies, and identifying opportunities to differentiate Fingerprint
  • Develop battle cards and competitive materials to enable sales and marketing teams
  • Conduct ongoing customer and market research to inform messaging, content, and product strategy
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop integrated campaigns that align with Fingerprint’s growth strategy
  • Ensure consistent messaging across marketing materials, website, sales collateral, and thought leadership content
  • Support demand generation efforts by providing strategic input on messaging, positioning, and content development
  • Work with sales enablement to create training materials, presentations, and sales collateral
  • Partner with customer success to gather feedback, testimonials, and use cases that inform product positioning and go-to-market efforts
  • Align closely with marketing and product teams to drive successful product adoption and awareness

Our take

Digital fingerprinting is an essential process in web browsers that tracks the digital address of a device to monitor web activity. This technique facilitates the identification of fraud and spam, as well as warning signs of account takeovers. However, the success of this requires users to accept cookies, a requirement that is easy to avoid.

Fingerprint provides a digital fingerprinting tool that generates a unique identifier of browser activity without requiring the user to accept cookies. The service uses the same WebGL and canvas fingerprinting utilized by existing competitors, but instead of focusing on devices, it identifies web activity. Suspicious activity will result in the identified user being logged in a database, allowing the service to be improved for others.

With this innovative approach, Fingerprint has been able to build up an impressive client roster of over 6000 companies, including 16% of the top 500 websites by traffic. As well as displaying sustained growth through funding rounds, the company has also continued to improve upon its offering - for instance, in Q1 2023 it reported a decrease in iOS false positive and false negative rates by 85%.
