Role
Who you are
- Experience working within a help desk environment, managing tickets, and proven customer service skills
- Experience with using Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and Intune
- Experience with Microsoft Windows 10/11, and Apple Mac. Having familiarity with JAMF would be a valuable added skill
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage workload, respond to requests in a timely manner and prioritise tasks
- Good problem-solving skills, able to work on own initiative and collaboratively with colleagues
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Infrastructure Engineer to join our Infrastructure Team
- Work with the infrastructure team to provide support to the Anthony Nolan users, ensuring a high standard of delivery
- Provide end user support for ticket resolution, maintaining a great user experience
- Work with inTune for the management of endpoint devices
- Working with colleagues to deliver projects within a timeline
- Maintain high standards in customer communication and response times with the team and user base
- Manage your workload and be able to prioritise effectively
- Work with the team to identify recurring issues and propose improvements to reduce ticket numbers
- Administrate, implement, and maintain Microsoft cloud-based services
- Escalate support requests which are business critical or are not within the scope of knowledge
- Assist with maintaining and keeping up to date documentation in the shared knowledge base, including user guides and support processes
- Engage in training opportunities to further develop skills and knowledge in key areas, such as desktop support, networking, and operating systems
- Support and maintain Anthony Nolan’s Cyber Security policies
- Liaise with third-party suppliers to provide a high level of service to all users

Founded in 1974 to find bone marrow donors for people suffering with blood cancer, Anthony Nolan is today one of Britain's largest recruiters of stem cell donors, along with DKMS, the Welsh Blood Service and NHS Blood and Transplant. As only one in four people with blood cancer will find a compatible donor in their family, Anthony Nolan's work saves over 1,000 lives a year worldwide.
Aside from recruiting donors, Anthony Nolan conducts research through the Anthony Nolan Research Institute, with its findings reducing post-transplant complications and increasing quality of life for patients. It also maintains the UK's first dedicated cord blood bank which allows new mothers to donate their umbilical cords for research.
Despite significant advances in blood cancer tratment since Anthony Nolan's founding, there's still a critical shortage of donors, sworsened by a sharp declinesiunce 2019. To combat this, the charity is actively raising awareness of this issue and is also set to open a new stem cell donation centre at Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham to further help address the gap.
