Role
Who you are
- This role requires a strong technical background and an understanding of machine learning concepts to drive innovation in our ranking systems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum of 7-10+ years of experience as a Product Manager, for a ranking or API product
- Strong understanding of machine learning and ranking concepts
- Strong understanding of API design, development, and lifecycle
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Desirable
- Clear passion for Reddit and it’s mission
- Proven experience in managing and delivering API and Ranking products
- MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field

- This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of how users interact with content and how developers build on the Reddit platform
- As a key member of this fast-growing team, you will have significant ownership and impact on the next generation of ranking systems for Devvit apps and the strategic direction of our Data API business
- You will develop a long-term vision and build the roadmap for ranking Devvit apps and Data API, ensuring a highly relevant and engaging user experience
- Additionally, you will be responsible for our Data API business, playing a pivotal role in evolving the existing Data API and spearheading initiatives to effectively monetize API products
- Define and execute the product vision and roadmap for ranking Devvit apps
- Lead the strategy, development, and monetization of Reddit's Data API
- Collaborate closely with engineering, data science, and other cross-functional teams to deliver impactful products
- Identify new investment opportunities and drive thoughtful recommendations to maximize value for Reddit
- Be an internal expert in your area, synthesizing various inputs to provide clear product direction in ambiguous situations
- Drive challenging discussions and negotiate to resolve controversial issues between teams
- Build and run processes for your team to execute effectively
