Who you are
- Experience: 5+ years in Strategic Customer Success, Key Account Management, or Enterprise Sales, including 2+ years of management
- Account Expertise: Track record managing large, complex accounts with $1M+ in ARR or equivalent scope
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to coach, develop, and scale high-performing account teams
- Strategic Operator: Experience working with executives on team goals, resourcing, and cross-functional alignment
- Consultative Approach: Comfortable engaging with C-level stakeholders and navigating complex enterprise environments
- Hands-On & Agile: Thrives in high-growth, fast-paced settings with a willingness to roll up sleeves and lead by example
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Director of Strategic Account Management to lead and grow our top accounts at EvenUp
- This role will directly manage a senior contributor team of Strategic Account Directors while also working closely with our executive team to shape the future of how we partner with our most impactful, high-touch enterprise accounts
- This is an opportunity to build and lead a function at one of the fastest-growing AI companies in history
- You’ll provide leadership and coaching to the team, define success frameworks, partner with co-founders on strategic goals, and ensure our most valuable customers receive best-in-class support and outcomes
- Lead & Develop the Team: Manage and coach a team of 5-8 Strategic Account Directors, helping them refine their account strategies, client engagement, and revenue growth planning
- Shape the Function: Partner with EvenUp’s executives to set goals, build enablement resources, and contribute to headcount planning as the team scales
- Drive Growth & Retention: Support the team in upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities across a portfolio of large, high-touch accounts
- Strategic Planning: Oversee long-term account success plans that align with customer objectives and business outcomes, ensuring consistency and excellence across the team
- Executive Alignment: Collaborate with our co-founders and EvenUp executives to bring customer insights into product, finance, and operational decisions
- Operational Excellence: Establish standards, reporting, and playbooks for account health, renewals, and engagement—laying the foundation for a scalable strategic accounts function
- Customer Partnership: Be a trusted partner to key accounts alongside your team, including on-site engagement to strengthen relationships and drive measurable outcomes
Our take
Every year, millions of personal injury cases in the US are resolved with only a small fraction going to trial, leaving many victims potentially under-compensated due to inaccurate settlement proposals. EvenUp aims to change this by leveraging AI technology to streamline the assessment of injury cases.
The AI tools evaluate raw case files, including medical and police records, creating tailored "demand packages" that present comprehensive compensation arguments. This improves lawyer performance and victim outcomes.
Despite concerns about AI bias and privacy, EvenUp has garnered significant investor interest, closing a funding round in 2024 that was one of the largest in the history of legal AI. Now valued at over $1 billion, it is investing in its team and introducing new techniques and products for personal injury and other legal areas.
