Role
Who you are
- Extensive experience in leading a product and its development teams
- Able to demonstrate good knowledge of multiple, market leading software products in the application builder and tooling space, including detailed working knowledge of at least one of these, to a level where best of breed features and functions can be identified and articulated to the team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate requirements to a multi-disciplinary team spread across the UK and Asia
- Credible and knowledgeable in front of customers and prospects, able to clearly articulate the capability of the product and align it to customer requirements while using these interactions to drive future development
- Experience of the full software development lifecycle in a business lead role
- Experience in working to strict deadlines, both individually and as part of a team
- Ability to work flexible hours as required - connecting and collaborating with colleagues in different time zones
- Able to travel as needed to fulfil these responsibilities
Desirable
- Experience of the London or global commercial insurance market. An understanding of London Market initiatives as well as exposure to process and regulatory requirements in other global markets
- Working knowledge of one or more DXC software products for insurance brokers or carriers
- Experience of working in an Agile development environment, ideally SAFe
- Knowledge and experience of analysis techniques, ideally of using a formal analysis methodology in the building of solutions
- Experience of demonstrating software products
What the job involves
- The Product Manager is responsible for setting objectives across the product’s components, defining and socialising roadmap, and, in collaboration with Product Owners, lead the development teams in meeting these objectives
- Fulfil the Product Manager role in a Scaled Agile (SAFe) product development team, collaborating with product owners and development teams in the solution ART
- Utilise extensive experience in the development of application building frameworks and business process tooling (including entity modelling, UX design, workflow and rules), to identify, define and prioritise new ideas and features for development, to maximise the capabilities of the product and the broking and commercial insurance offerings it enables
- Define product roadmaps in collaboration with customers, product owners, delivery teams and sales teams. Monitor feature usage and gather feedback to continuously improve the product and its roadmap
- Be a lead participant in customer user groups and related design and consultation activities
- Act as a primary point of contact for all stakeholders on matters related to the product
- Socialise and present roadmaps to customer and internal DXC community groups
- Participate in Agile events and support the product owners in articulating and defining feature requirements and resolving queries from the development team
- Work closely with the pre-sales and sales teams to engage with prospects and existing customers, to position the product and its feature-set, and explain functionality and business benefits
- Maintain an understanding of the competitive landscape, particularly in the insurance domain
- Demonstrate leadership and ownership of the product and inspiring others to share and contribute to the product vision and goals

It is also focusing development on its DXC Platform X technology, having formed a partnership with Dynatrace in 2022 to improve its speed and efficiency.
