Role
Who you are
- At least 3 years in a Senior People role in fast-growth start-up, preferably in tech
- CIPD level 7
- Experience in sourcing and implementing HRIS software
- Experience with solving people problems in scale-ups growing from 50 to 100+
- Excellent communications skills and a genuine appetite to work in SME environment
- Ability to work with people at all levels across the business
- Strong team management skills
- Suitable confidence to liaise with executive management
- Healthcare experience preferable but not a requirement
- Experience of working in a hybrid or remote business culture preferred
What the job involves
- Onboarding-:
- Assist the talent acquisition team and senior managers in crafting job descriptions
- Ensure our contracts are consistently updated to reflect developments in employment law
- Analyse and improve our interview, ensure a smooth onboarding process, engaging with third-party suppliers to optimize the employee experience where required
- Policy & Program Implementation-:
- Help establish people-oriented policies and practices that are aligned with, and enhance, our mission and core values; including updating roles and responsibilities and core competencies and accountabilities charts
- Optimise employee benefits programs to ensure market competitiveness and reflect our values and the needs of our people
- Ensure that any processes and standards are scalable and implemented as consistently/proportionately as possible across the organisation. Potential implementation of an HRIS software system
- Assess the suitability of applying for B-Corp status/or Investors in People accreditation
- Performance Management, Learning & Development-:
- Review and improve professional development review processes and performance management approaches to develop and retain existing staff
- Keep abreast of the latest trends in L&D approaches, tools and methods
- Coordinate and manage the outsourced learning and development training services
- Manage the employee life cycle from onboarding to L&D, disciplinaries and exit interviews
- Engagement & Culture-:
- Work with the Snr Management to implement and monitor tools + systems/programmes and solutions that enable us to create and maintain a world-class culture
- Champion a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace and design and implement policies and practices to support their achievement
- Plan Company events and appreciation activities
- Communication & Budget Management-:
- Deliver regular updates backed by data on all People responsibilities, monitoring status, opportunity and risk continuously
- Deliver findings on best practices across relevant industries and data/evidence-backed proposals that can be implemented into business
- Improve company-wide communication and meeting structures, proactively engaging colleagues to improve working relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Help foster an environment of continuous communication
- Ensure the effective management of the HR budget
