Role
Who you are
- 5–8+ years of product design experience working on complex digital products
- Experience designing and delivering products in B2B, SaaS, enterprise, or data-rich platforms
- Strong UX and interaction design fundamentals, including information architecture, workflows, and hierarchy
- Proven ability to independently own design problems while collaborating closely with product and engineering partners
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and tradeoffs
- Experience conducting or leading user research and synthesizing insights into product decisions
- Experience as a critical voice in design reviews, product reviews, and cross-functional critiques
Desirable
- Experience designing for native mobile and responsive web applications
- Background evolving a design system (components, patterns, and usage guidelines)
- Familiarity working in platform or systems-oriented product environments
- Experience iterating on shipped products using customer feedback and product data
What the job involves
- As a Senior Product Designer - Software Platform, you will play a critical role in shaping the foundational experiences that power the Tive platform
- You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer teams to solve complex workflow, data, and platform challenges that impact customers at scale
- You’ll lead product design from discovery to delivery, contributing to customer-facing product experiences, mobile applications, and the design systems that power them
- Lead end-to-end design for complex product areas, from early discovery through final implementation
- Translate user needs, business goals, and technical constraints into clear, intuitive experiences
- Design and optimize workflows for data-heavy use cases such as alerts, timelines, dashboards, automations, and configuration flows
- Drive effective design decisions using sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes
- Partner closely with Product Managers to shape problem definitions, scope, and timelines
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs are technically feasible, accessible, and production-ready
- Contribute to Tive’s design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across the platform
- Apply systems thinking to balance immediate product needs with long-term platform improvements
- Define opportunities and solutions for critical features across web and mobile platforms
Our take
Traditionally, shipment tracking has been complicated, unreliable and expensive. Tive’s platform allows businesses to constantly track and update their supply chain to enable a dynamic and flexible approach to international commerce.
Tive’s system is based around sensors that accompany shipments, allowing real-time product tracking with data uploaded to the cloud. This system allows clients access to location, shipment integrity and climate status, allowing businesses to better understand how their products are shipped.
Tive serves customers across the shipping industry, a huge market that is still on the rise. This has fuelled its expansion, with the company already having clients ranging from consumer packaged goods, logistics, produce, and retail, including Alpine Fresh, Fastly, and Aviagen. $40 million in 2025 Series C funding will help Tive bring even more solutions to its growing customer base.
