Who you are

Proven ability to lead complex analytical projects from concept to completion, especially in web3 environments
Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python through your experience as business or data analyst or other quant-related position
Deep understanding of DeFi, including protocols, block explorers, and data sources

What the job involves

As a Data Analyst for BOB, you will be leading the quantitative insights to grow and direct decisions at BOB
You are the main person responsible for analysing various on- and off-chain data sources to create and track KPIs and identify trends with a deep product understanding
You will work closely with the product, business, and marketing teams to formulate hypothesis and deliver actionable recommendations focussing on DeFi on BOB
Product Metrics and Reporting: Track, analyse, and report on key performance metrics, including channel performance, user activation and retention, TVL, trading volume, and other KPIs
Market Research: Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify emerging trends within the Bitcoin and DeFi ecosystem
Identify DeFi Opportunities: Regularly prepare and update reports about investment opportunities on BOB for our institutional partners
Data Infrastructure: Together with the engineering team, design and build foundational data systems, including ETLs, dashboards, and analytics that drive data-driven decision-making and support scalable business growth

Our take

BOB - or Build On Bitcoin - is a tool for DeFi and innovation across a number of Bitcoin experimentations and uses. Using a Layer-2 tool that builds upon Bitcoin and Ethereum ecosystems, it merges security and liquidity and aims to pave the way for further innovation within the cryptocurrency market.

Regardless of Bitcoin’s volatility, BOB’s use as a tool within the system means that it has plenty of uses regardless of value. Its functions include developer resources and smart contracts.

With $1.2 million raised in seed funding, BOB plans to broaden its Layer-2's presence within the crypto ecosystem, driving further adoption and innovation.
