- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- 1+ years’ experience in accounting or related field
- Relevant experience with the financial close process
- Proficient in Excel
- Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the company
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus

What the job involves
- Fluent is looking for talented Staff Accountant to join our accounts payable team as we continue to scale our business
- You will be reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant – Accounts Payable will support the accounting team in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations while maintaining strong internal controls and compliance
- This role provides an opportunity to gain experience in accounts payable and general accounting functions within a public company environment
- This role provides valuable exposure to general ledger accounting, transaction processing, and cross-functional collaboration, making it an excellent opportunity to develop a well-rounded foundation in accounting
- Prepares monthly general ledger journal entries
- Ensure accurate accruals and reconciliation of expenses
- Maintain detailed and well-supported reconciliations of all assigned balance sheet accounts
- Assists with weekly payment run process
- Assists with employee reimbursement processing
- Review monthly account variances versus prior reporting periods
- Assist in internal and external audit requests, as required
- Special projects as assigned
