Role
Who you are
- Consumer product experience in App, but ideally both App & Web
- You have an early stage startup experience, either pre and post product market fit
- You have 5+ years of experience in Product
- Planned and opportunistic product growth. Company where they’ve had to pivot
- You have excellent time management skills and enjoy working on multiple simultaneous projects
- Experience in the fitness or health space is a bonus
What the job involves
- As a Senior Product Manager you will lead our core product, driving significant impact on our customers, coaches and overall business
- Join our Tech&Product Team to shape the future of fitness technology and create real value for our users getting fitter day by day
- The product we use to support the coaches and the customers is called Workout Box
- This is a centrally managed and distributed piece of software used to manage customer workout data and communicate directly and through the coaches, how well they are performing relative to their goals
- This feedback loop is critical to the success of their workout
- And key to our ability to scale our business with a consistent customer experience
- While the product is software, it relies on significant hardware integration as well
Our take
There are two common issues in the fitness training industry - one being that group fitness classes do not personalise to individual needs, and the other being that fitness technology fails to build strong communities. This decreases motivation and can cause training to plateau.
BEAT81 was inspired to rectify these issues, and has since become one of Europe’s fastest growing HIIT training & fitness technology companies. It combines high-intensity group training, motivational coaching, and heart rate technology. Using the latter, coaches can look at data and insights to adapt and improve their classes for specific cases.
The company started with training sessions across multiple cities in Germany, including Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Cologne. It invested series A funding into continuing to build its technology whilst initiating efforts to expand internationally, as it looks to consolidate its growth further.
