Role
Who you are
- 4+ years of experience developing a wide-array of software products
- Knowledge with REST, GRPC, distributed systems design, and scalable containerized systems and microservices
- Experience working on large-scale, consumer-facing mobile and web applications
- Knowledge about advertising and the technology which powers it is preferred
- Passionate about working on Immersive ads in the metaverse
- Inspired to create great user experiences
- Focused on writing clear, readable, testable, modular, and monitored code

What the job involves
- As a Senior Software Engineer working on our Ads team, you will play a significant role in shaping the evolution of advertising products and systems at Roblox
- This team will provide advertisers with tools to run successful ad campaigns and provide publishers the tools to build revenue streams from immersive ads
- This role is a great fit for you if you are proficient in managing large scale systems and data-driven applications and have a zeal for developing inspiring, easily maintainable, and reusable code
- You will report into our Sr. Engineer Manager
- Have direct impact on the future direction of the largest social platform for play, delivering groundbreaking solutions allowing our creators to earn a sustainable living and build experiences for a global community of over 70 million daily active users
- Build and ship best-in-class Ads products and services
- Develop backend services that scale to billions of products and transactions

In addition to standard games, the platform offers virtual worlds and other experiences to explore and interact with. Its platform provides an online ecosystem for millions to create, socialize, chat, and explore immersive experiences with friends. In fact, in the US its used by two-thirds of children aged 9 to 12.
The experiences on the platform are made by Roblox's over three million creators, and are available on a range of devices from PC to Xbox to Oculus, and more.
