Who you are
- This role is ideal for a strong generalist who thrives in fast-moving environments, is comfortable with ambiguity, and takes pride in seeing work through to the end
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience, preferably in consulting, banking, or startup operations
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating with limited hand-holding
- High ownership mentality; no task too small attitude

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Great with people
- Willing and able to learn quickly. Self starter with a “No task is too big or small” attitude

What the job involves
- Morty is seeking a highly capable, execution-focused Operations Manager to own critical operational workflows and serve as a force multiplier for the COO
- You'll own and manage end-to-end customer onboarding processes through handoff to customer success team
- Serve as a key execution partner to the COO, driving operational priorities from concept to completion
- Support day-to-day operations and ensure smooth cross-functional execution
- Build, document, and continuously improve operational processes and workflows
- Track and manage timelines for licensing renewals and regulatory reporting requirements
- Coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure compliance obligations are met on time
- Act as a reliable point of ownership for high-priority operational initiatives

As the cost of mortgages has risen, prospective homeowners are looking for alternative, cheaper mortgage options to facilitate their dreams of owning a home. Morty’s mortgage marketplace is capitalising on that demand.
The startup is distinguished by its user-friendly approach, allowing homebuyers to compare mortgage options from any lender alongside features like automated loan options which provide accurate quotes without the multiple back and forth with traditional lenders.
Morty is planning to expand nationwide across the US and eventually internationally in the coming years. However, expanding their product to other verticals and geographies will not be easy in what is a notoriously complicated and red-taped industry. That said, the startup's success in the US is no simple feat and Morty remains one to watch in the future.
