Who you are

4+ years experience in high-growth D2C company
Strong technical marketing skills and hands-on experience working with CRM platforms required. Experience working with CMS platforms preferred, desire to learn a must
Experience working with , Webflow and coding languages (liquid, CSS, HTML) are an advantage

What the job involves

We’re looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to drive customer engagement through targeted campaigns and personalised experiences
You'll design and execute CRM campaigns for activation, retention, and upsell, manage key transactional communications, and optimize the website for better conversions
You’ll also create automated workflows and nurture streams to guide customers through their journey
Lifecycle Marketing
Develop lifecycle stages based on customer data (e.g., new sign-up, conversion, retention, win-back) and design campaigns for each stage
Execute CRM campaigns to drive activation, engagement, retention, and upsell or cross-sell opportunities
Be accountable for our essential transactional customer communications
Personalise messaging based on customer segmentation
Website Management
Ensure that the website effectively communicates product benefits and maximises conversion into the product experience
Automation and Workflow Development
Design and implement automated workflows and nurture streams for different segments and lifecycle stages
Use our CRM tool to set up triggers, rules, and workflows that guide customers through the journey
What success looks like
Measurable improvement in the performance of our CRM campaigns and Website metrics
Quality of the customer experience as delivered through the website and our emails is significantly improved
Collaborating with other teams
Work with the Market Leads to develop customer segments, positioning and messaging
Work with the Market Leads and Product Manager to deliver CRM campaigns

Our take

Unlike the typical insurance models, Laka's model requires customers to only pay for the true cost of cover. At the end of each month, the cost of any claims is split fairly between customers, with the individual’s maximum premium capped at the market rate.

If there is no claim, the premium that month is zero. Laka is already much-better aligned with customers, because of the fact that fewer claims mean lower costs for the entire Laka customer base. Laka makes money by adding 25% when a claim is made, so the company doesn't make money unless they're adding value.

The company effectively offers a profit share to its customers, encouraging improved behaviour as they stand to benefit from taking better care. The test for Laka to build a huge business will be moving this model out of bike insurance and into other verticals - particularly e-mobility, which it hopes to do with its new funding chest.
