Who you are

Hands-on experience building and maintaining bare metal and cloud infrastructure for production services
Deep Linux administration experience
Experience managing automated infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible or similar tools
Basic or ideally advanced Kubernetes knowledge

Join Checkly as an Engineering Manager for our Infrastructure team and empower developers to own and ensure application performance and reliability - from pull request to post-mortem!
Lead a team of Staff and Senior Engineers as a hands on Engineering Manager
Evolve and optimize our hybrid AWS and bare metal infrastructure to securely run sandboxed code and AI Agents with industry leading cost efficiency
Investigate customer and infrastructure problems down to the packet capture and process memory level together with the team to ensure customers can trust Checkly
Contribute to infrastructure reliability and ensure systems stay snappy for ad hoc and scheduled workloads without breaking or exploding costs
Collaborate with product engineers to improve developer experience, support our strong shipping culture and provide observability they need
Our tech stack is Claude Code, Vue.js, TypeScript, Golang, Postgres and ClickHouse. We host a hybrid cloud on AWS and bare metal infrastructure. We ship to prod all day, every day. We practice Agile (not scrum) and take pride in good documentation and good looking products

Our take

DevOps introduced more automation to the software development process and lifecycle, allowing new applications to be on the market at a quicker pace. But with progress comes changes and new requirements for developing, testing, and deploying applications, thus requiring transformation for modern monitoring systems.

Checkly is an active monitoring platform designed for developers. The API is programmable, flexible, and works well with JavaScript. Checkly allows cross-functional DevOps and engineering teams to run deep API monitoring and Javascript-powered flexible frontend tests across 20+ global data center locations.

The transaction monitoring tool makes it easy to regularly test interactions with front-end websites without having to actually write any code. Pricing for its services starts at $7 per month for individual developers, with plans for small teams starting at $29 per month. Looking ahead, funding will be used to expand Checkly’s engineering team and build out its platform.
