Company mission

DICE is on a mission to get people out more. We bring incredible live shows and streams to fans around the world. Download DICE to see what’s happening in your city and streaming in your timezone.

Role

Who you are

  • You love music, and you are passionate about our mission to bring more people together through live shows
  • You are exceptional at your craft, and working constantly to level up. Strong visual design foundations, and prototyping skills are a must
  • You can design proficiently for responsive web, native iOS and Android platforms
  • You are an effective communicator, using both words and visuals to tell compelling stories, and defend design decisions
  • You are experienced in designing best-in-class consumer products for ecommerce, especially purchase and checkout
  • You have a playbook of best practices but know how to adapt them to your needs
  • You are comfortable in a fast-paced, fluid environment where your team is held accountable to highly ambitious goals

What the job involves

  • Live shows make us feel good. They’re a time to hang with our friends, discover new artists or lose ourselves on a dance floor. We’re on a mission to bring all of this to more fans, more often – and that’s where you come in
  • We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Product Design team and ensure our fans have a world-class ticketing experience
  • At DICE, you’ll be part of the company that is redefining live entertainment. It’s a place where you can be yourself, influence the culture, and create work that you’re proud of
  • We’ve set the bar with a “weirdly easy” purchasing experience for tickets, but there’s loads to be done and we’re brimming with ideas. We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to work with our cross-functional product team to make the best ticketing experience in the industry even better
  • DICE has always been a product of firsts, and in this role you will continue to innovate, making the purchase experience effortless and delightful
  • Work with product and engineering from concept to launch, delivering best-in-class experiences
  • Understand best practices for purchase experiences to innovate and define new patterns that are delightful and unexpected
  • Gather user insights in consultation with our researcher to help define product opportunities and fuel discovery
  • Collaborate with your product team to facilitate ideation and design new offerings that stay true to our principle of being “weirdly easy”
  • Co-lead your team alongside the product and engineering managers, influence product strategy, development processes and rituals
  • Play an active role in communicating design decisions and product vision across teams and the organisation at large
  • Participate in regular critique with a group of product designers, writers, researchers and localisation experts to elevate our work product

Application process

  • Our process usually involves a chat with our talent team, a task and a couple of interviews where you’ll meet the people you’ll work with. We’ll keep you fully informed along the way

Our take

For a long time, the live music industry has been dominated by long-standing ticketing sites. However, consumer frustration with these sites has grown considerably in recent years. DICE solves this problem by offering a sleek and usable alternative to sites like Ticketmaster.

DICE was founded by a former consultant and record label founder, which has helped shape the company considerably. DICE’s main strength is its app, which balances engagement, discovery and ease-of-use. Compared to sites and apps such as Ticketmaster, DICE offers greater depth. This has helped the company to reach a valuation of around $400 million following an impressive raise in 2021. This is testament to DICE’s growing ubiquity.

Since raising $122 million in funding in 2021, DICE has set about expanding its operations, with an especial focus on the lucrative US & German market. So far, this expansion has fared well and, with the live music and entertainment industry experiencing a considerable upturn, DICE’s success is likely to continue.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at DICE

Salma Repa headshot

Salma Repa (Head of DEI)

  • We’re on a mission to create a platform for everyone
  • DICE is dedicated to building a live events landscape where everyone feels that they belong, making our company and the industry fairer places in the process. We know that having a variety of perspectives makes us a better company, and it’s essential that our people represent the diversity of the fans we serve
  • In 2020, we appointed a Global Head of DEI, reporting directly to the CEO, to mark DEI as a critical function within the business. This has led to a growing global DEI team. At DICE, each department shares a commitment to DEI in their goals, objectives and key results, and we’ve proactively developed five Employee Community Groups, which serve our employees of colour; women and femmes; LGBTQIA+ employees; neurodiverse employees; and parents and caregivers. These ECGs are set up to provide spaces for our staff to connect, grow and feel supported
  • To give you a sense of where we’re headed, here are a few initiatives we’re currently working on: - Launching a compulsory Training and Learning Programme for all DICE employees, covering bias, privilege awareness, intersectionality and allyship, among other important subjects - Growing our Global Belonging Programme – a set of events and initiatives to keep everyone connected and included at DICE
  • We know that as long as inequality persists in our society, there will always be more for us to do in this space, and we’re excited to take on the challenge. If you have any feedback or suggestions that can help us with this work, please reach out.
