Who you are
- 3+ years of direct sales experience ideally selling to small and medium sized businesses
- Optimistic with a strong urge to win
- Prove ability and desire to prospect and hunt for new leads, prospects, and business opportunities
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, and ability to scale with the organization
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect at all levels, both internally and externally

- Entrepreneurial mindset, able to take initiatives and thrive in a dynamic and ambiguous context with limited direction or oversight
- Exposure to the construction industry is a plus
- Experience selling a financial product is a plus
What the job involves
- Constrafor is seeking a highly motivated Account Executive to drive the growth of our Early Pay Program (EPP) by identifying and creating new opportunities with SMB contractors
- In this role, you will play a key part in expanding our customer base, guiding contractors through the credit eligibility and application process, and serving as their trusted point of contact
- Your responsibilities will include proactively targeting and engaging prospects to drive growth, evaluate and qualify contractors’ credit eligibility, providing expert support to guide prospects on EPP processes, and coordinating applications both internally and with external partners
- From initiating conversations to developing sales best practices, you’ll be a critical contributor to our sales team’s success and the continued growth of the EPP
- Identify new sales opportunities, build relationships, generate interest, and create a sense of urgency for conversion
- Build and manage a pipeline from initial outreach to close of Early Pay Program prospects
- Partner with Constrafor leaders and internal teams to help qualify leads and sales opportunities
- Educate contractor prospects on the benefits of the Early Pay Program by providing online and occasionally in-person demos to decision makers and key stakeholders
- Utilize prospecting and research tools to qualify opportunities; prepare for and book pitch meetings with target prospects
- Conduct cold outreach via email, phone, and social drips using enablement technology to connect with new prospects
- Guide prospects/clients on required documentation for credit underwriting and approval process
- Expedite credit applications and ensuring that turnaround time requirements are met
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals
- Maintain flawless records and pipeline across Sales Tools
Our take
Large construction projects take a long time to finish, and subcontractors can get caught up in the flow of money, waiting up to 80 days to be paid by general contractors. Such situations not only lead to project delays but also impose the burden of financing their project segments onto subcontractors. However, Constrafor has set out to change this through its SaaS construction procurement platform.
The platform streamlines information and documentation for how general contractors work with subcontractors, and assumes the risk for the subcontractor invoice - freeing up cash flow. The general contractor then reimburses Constrafor for the invoice, with the company making its money by taking in about 2% of the value of the invoice.
Its a valuable offering, and Constrafor finds itself in substantial demand, standing out for offering tailored solutions that are designed and developed on behalf of these companies. With good funding at its back, the company can continue elevating its operations as it continues to support pivotal aspects of the construction process.
