Who you are

2+ years of experience in Laravel / PHP / MySQL
2+ years of experience in VueJS or another JS framework
A willingness to learn and grow, and a collaborative mindset

Desirable

Proficiency in refactoring code to improve maintainability and scalability
Intermediate MySQL knowledge and tuning experience
Experience in building, deploying and monitoring Laravel background jobs or other experience in observability and debugging production systems
Understanding of how and when to test services - both manual and automated testing are used at NinjaCat and you’ll help us understand when we need one or the other (or both)
Experience in data warehouse or data processing systems (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc)
Knowledge of AWS (or GCP/Azure) and migrating monolithic applications into containers / kubernetes

What the job involves

Maintain and improve our existing Laravel application and services
Build & ship clean, functional, testable code for new and existing external API integrations and our external API. For example, you’ll be a key contributor to an update to our Google Analytics 4 integration
Investigate, evaluate and test API requests and responses using Postman or similar tools
Be curious. Learn and understand our code base and help improve observability using Datadog, Sentry and other related tools
Help complete an update to our call tracking system and related microsite (Node / Vue / kubernetes)
Work in an agile fashion in close collaboration with product owners, DevOps / SRE / QA engineers, and customer support

Our take

Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising has soared with the growth of advertising networks and the wider use of the internet. However, while an important tool for marketing teams, digital marketing performance data was typically siloed across an ever-expanding range of platforms and channels. That made it near-impossible for marketing teams to conduct proper performance management.

NinjaCat's platform allows teams to aggregate, store, report, monitor, analyze and visualize data at scale changed that. Crucially the platform offers both automation features, greatly simplifying performance management while remaining deeply customisable for different budgets and metrics.

The startup has done a great job of delivering true performance management to teams relying on PPC campaigns. However, after raising more capital, the startup’s next stage of growth is all about going further. That means visualizing complex marketing data at scale enhanced by AI capabilities to deliver true marketing intelligence. It's an ambitious vision. Having said that, the team has so far consistently proven that they can lead the market in unifying complex and siloed data sources for marketing teams.
