Who you are
- You are a salesperson from tip-to-toe, with a go-getting attitude to expand profitably the existing business
- You have outstanding interpersonal skills
- You are a self-starter and can work independently
- You are curious and hungry to learn
- You have a solid understanding of Microsoft Office
- You have excellent communication skills (Fluent Dutch and B2 English Level)
- You have gained previous experience in sales in the bedding/furniture sector is a plus
- Driving license
What the job involves
- You are responsible for growing our product portfolio at our wholesale partner stores and implement promotional activities
- You will frequently visit existing clients/stores in your area to evaluate needs, promote products and check POS materials
- You will further develop and sustain relationships with assigned clients to understand their needs and requirements, as well as work on customized solutions
- You will spot new business opportunities and
- You will act as the main point of contact between clients and internal teams, ensuring the successful implementation of projects
- You will constantly track account developments, identify pain points, growth potential and adapt our strategy accordingly
- You will take care of training the sales staff in store and training sales staff on the shopfloor
Our take
Emma makes mattresses, bed frames and other sleep accessories that can be delivered right to your door. The company began in Frankfurt in 2013 at the beginning of a wave of similar companies emerging around Europe. It has since grown to operate in over 30 countries, and has become the world's most international direct to customer sleep brand.
The company owes this to its 'omnichannel strategy', selling both online and in store via retail partnerships, and it produces mattresses locally in each economy. With the launch of its retail-specific product assortment "Emma Select" and its pan-European partnership with the interior giant JYSK, Emma now collaborates with more than 200 different retail partners worldwide.
Emma's products continue to be awarded by reputable test institutes such as Stiftung Warentest in Germany and Which? (UK). It is aiming to strengthen both retail and marketplaces teams to anchor its expansion in Latin America as well as in the US. It will also be strengthening the product team and bringing yet more new sleep innovations to market.
