Who you are
- Minimum 5 years of experience creating technical documentation for complex, deep technical topics or product suite
- Proven experience creating technical documentation, including guides, code examples, and API libraries
- Proficiency in writing structured content that uses variables and metadata to serve context-sensitive material to unique audiences
- Experience supporting product release cycles in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Excellent writing and grammatical skills; content is clear, succinct, and logical
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage expectations and maintain focus
- Grit; a sustained history of hard work and perseverance
- Curiosity; a bias to constantly question, dig deeper, and learn

What the job involves
- Mysten Labs is hiring a Senior Technical Writer to join the Developer Experience team. Technical Writers create content that enables customer success using Mysten Labs’ technologies, specifically among developers, node operators, and partners. Content deliverables include but are not limited to reference guides, release notes, tutorials, and educational content. The products and projects this position supports include public facing developer products, Sui Move, Sui SDKs, Sui Wallet and Enoki
- Write, design, and update documentation and sample code
- Communicate across and collaborate with the Engineering, Product, Marketing, Developer Relations, Technical Writing, and Partnership teams, taking their input to continuously enhance the documentation experience for our community of developers
- Researching documentation best practices among the tech industry and other top blockchains
- Contributing to documentation tooling and processes to support more efficient, scalable, and collaborative documentation development
Our take
Mysten Labs was created with the ambition to build a blockchain comparable to Ethereum or Solanan - but with even greater capabilities. That means tackling pain points currently found in blockchain technology, like scaling transactions and speed to meet growing demand.
To do this, Mysten is building foundational infrastructure for Web 3.0 which supports the accelerated development and adoption of decentralized services. The startup is determined to build a platform that finally lets Web 3.0 developers focus on UI, without compromising on security.
The company has focussed on expanding partnerships with existing networks such as Ethos and Orange Comet Partners, who have integrated Mysten technology, as well as open protocols based on Mysten-designed components. Ensuring that it assigns developer and community outreach resources in the right places will be crucial to building a sustainable business in this relatively young space.
