Who you are
- The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of HR best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3 - 5 years of experience in an HR support role
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (BambooHR, Lattice, Traliant), Microsoft Office/ Google Workspace and Atlassian
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred but not required
What the job involves
- Reports to: HR Manager
- We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team
- The HR Coordinator will support various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and employee engagement initiatives
- Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Assist with job postings and advertisement processes
- Screen resumes and coordinate interviews
- Prepare offer letters and employment agreements
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and necessary documentation
- Employee Records Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of HR documents
- Prepare and track Immigration applications
- Assist in the administration of HRIS and other HR systems
- Employee Relations:
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and provide general HR support
- Assist in the organization of employee engagement activities and events
- Support the implementation of employee programs and initiatives, such as the summer internship program, wellness initiatives, and employee engagement
- HR Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Conduct audits of HR practices and records to ensure compliance
- Training and Development:
- Coordinate training sessions and employee development programs
- Maintain training records and track employee participation
- Assist in identifying training needs and organizing relevant training sessions
- Benefits Administration:
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and inquiries
- Coordinate benefits programs and ensure timely communication of changes
- Maintain accurate benefits records and support the benefits renewal process
- HR Reporting and Analytics:
- Prepare and analyze HR reports and metrics
- Provide data and insights to support HR decision-making
- Assist in HR projects and initiatives as needed
- Offboarding:
- Coordinate the offboarding process for all departing employees, including resignations, terminations, and retirements
- Conduct exit interviews and gather feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Prepare and distribute necessary documentation, including termination letters, exit checklists, exit surveys, and final pay statements
