Who you are
- We are looking for a dynamic self-starter with strong strategic and analytical skills who has experience in financial reporting, forecasting, planning, and strategic analysis, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment
- CPA designation required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- 5+ years of progressive experience, ideally a combination of public accounting and industry
- Expertise in financial modeling required
- US GAAP experience preferred
- Experience with Netsuite is considered an asset
- You have strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- You have excellent analytical, problem solving, and decisions making skills
- You have the ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels
- You are proactive and a self-starter

What the job involves
- As a Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in our growth and financial health by overseeing and managing aspects of our FP&A and accounting functions and influencing strategic decisions to help scale Roofr’s blooming business
- The candidate will work closely with our Senior Director of Finance, Controller, and internal stakeholders, including executives, data, product, marketing, sales, and engineering
- Develop and maintain the annual budget, monthly and quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans to support strategic decision-making
- Conduct financial analysis, scenario analysis, and modeling to evaluate growth initiatives, product launches, and identify opportunities
- Monitor unit economics, SaaS metrics, and KPIs
- Provide data analysis, insights, and recommendations to management to drive financial performance
- Support fundraising and M&A efforts, including preparation of financial materials for investors and investor presentations
- Provide training, mentorship and performance feedback
- Contribute to ad hoc projects as required
- Assist the accounting team during the month end close process with a focus on ensuring accuracy of revenues
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of commission calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Assist with reporting and compliance with external stakeholders

Roofing is one of those manual industries that’s been around forever, and can sometimes feel like it still exists in a completely pre-digital age. But Roofr’s on a mission to change that, with its software platform designed to modernize the industry.
One of its main selling points is that it offers roofers the ability to give instant estimates. It works with companies like Nearmap, whose low-altitude planes take high-resolution photos for mapping. This provides roofing companies with high-quality imagery of the roof to be able to give an estimate without a site visit - easier for the company and customer.
A few other start-ups are aiming to reinvent the roofing industry, but roofing is a $40 billion-a-year industry, so there's ample opportunity for growth. Roofr has raised substantial funding and already earned recognition in this sector, enabling it to strengthen its platform and continue to broaden its reach.
