Who you are
- 5+ years of experience building modern frontend applications with TypeScript and React
- A product-oriented mindset: you understand how users interact with the product, use this context to shape solutions and make technical decisions that maximize business value
- Ability to tackle high-complexity engineering problems independently and reduce ambiguity through research and clear reasoning
- Strong grasp of browser mechanics, performance, rendering, and client-server interactions
- Strong communication in English and the ability to collaborate effectively

- Someone who enjoys collaborating with backend engineers, designers, and product managers to shape thoughtful, user-focused solutions across complex product areas
- Engineers who excel at Manychat think in terms of user value and product impact, look beyond the code to how the team works, enjoy high-complexity problems, appreciate collaborative ownership, and communicate clearly while raising the bar for others
- Frontend team with real depth. With an average of 9+ years of experience, most of our 30+ engineers are seniors supported by a strong group of tech leads who shape the architecture. It’s a high-bar environment where growth accelerates naturally through thoughtful reviews and solid engineering practices
- Engineering connection with Meta. We are an official Meta Business Partner, giving our engineers a direct line into Meta’s ecosystem. This includes early access to new APIs, insight into upcoming platform changes, and the chance to build features aligned with the standards of one of the world’s largest tech companies
- Build for millions. Our platform processes 1**+ billion messages a year** for more than 1.5 million customers in 170+ countries, so the features you ship have real global reach
- Go beyond standard UI work. Alongside product features, you’ll contribute to complex interactive experiences like our Flow Builder, built on WebGL and PixiJS, so you’ll have opportunities to work on complex interactive systems, not just forms and dashboards
- Build on strong engineering foundations. A dedicated platform team maintains our TypeScript monorepo, while our evolving design system team enables consistent, scalable frontend development and improves developer experience
- Lead high-complexity feature development by evaluating approaches, communicating trade-offs, driving decisions that balance product value, speed and scalability
- Lead technical discovery by researching edge cases, exploring system connections, and bringing insights to backlog refinement
- Shape product outcomes by challenging requirements when needed, offering alternatives, and ensuring the most efficient path forward
- Collaborate in a cross-functional team with backend engineers and designers, working closely with a product manager to shape solutions and align on outcomes
- Improve system quality and resilience by defining and monitoring key metrics, investigating issues, supporting incident analysis, and reducing tech debt
- Raise engineering standards through maintainable code, thoughtful architecture, and high-impact code reviews focused on patterns, performance, and long-term health
- Strengthen team execution by facilitating discussions, guiding teammates through decisions, and helping align the team on goals, risks, and constraints

ManyChat provides a platform for the creation of customised chatbots without needing any experience in coding. The startup focuses on providing small businesses with opportunities to equip the messaging services of their Facebook and Instagram business pages with automotive customer service tools.
The company has grown a huge customer base of over a million businesses, powering more than a billion conversations annually. Although there is tough competition in this field, including new AI chatbots arriving on the market, ManyChat enjoyed a Series B round in 2025, which will be used to expand its market reach. A focus on ease of use and code-free customisation will likely ensure its ongoing popularity.
