Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years of related experience, master’s degree and 1+ years of related experience, or equivalent related work experience
- Demonstrated Success engaging and closing net new customers
- Experience selling technical solutions
- Specific experience selling API driven solutions a plus
- Ability to connect with C Level executives in the e-commerce space
- Successful track record of meeting and surpassing quotas
- Strong desire to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment
What the job involves
- The Commercial Account Executive (AE) plays a crucial role in generating revenue, driving business growth, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and understanding their needs
- The AE acts as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Identify and prospect potential clients, both new accounts and existing clients
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competition, and opportunities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize revenue
- Present and demonstrate company products or services to clients effectively
- Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring favorable terms for both the company and the client
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, understanding their business goals and challenges
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries and providing timely and accurate information
- Work with the sales team and sales leadership to forecast revenue, set targets, and develop sales strategies

EasyPost's multi-carrier shipping API allows e-commerce businesses to easily switch between logistics companies, track packages, and verify addresses in order to save time and money.
When the company emerged from stealth back in 2013, it was hailed by many as the “Stripe for shipping” because of how effectively it enabled developers to integrate postage and shipping into web applications – a common obstacle due to the outdated systems used by legacy carriers like FedEx and UPS.
EasyPost has gone from strength to strength over the years as e-commerce in general has boomed. It's expanded to over 200 countries, and is now considered a market leader in the shipping API niche.
There have also been numerous reports of an imminent IPO, and though nothing has come to pass as of yet, it's a real indication of the company's strength.
