Who you are
- You have experience with technologies such as Python, SQL, AWS, Redshift, dbt, and Git
- You have previous experience designing, developing, and enhancing a Data Warehouse architecture

What the job involves
- Our Data Engineering team is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join our team and collaborate with the Head of Data and a group of Data Engineers in managing and optimising data workflows, converting complex data from various sources into actionable insights for operational, tactical, and strategic decisions
- The main challenge in the Data area is to establish robust automation for ELT processes and ensure consistency across data sources
- While we already have some processes in place, our goal is to elevate our standards
- To achieve this, we leverage various technologies such as AWS, Glue, Redshift, dbt, and Make
- Understanding the data needs of the company and planning along with the other data engineers how these needs are going to be translated into solid data structures
- Writing the required ETLs/ELTs from scratch to help us building an effective Data Warehouse
- Maintaining the ELTs in dbt and assuring that daily/weekly executions run smoothly and without errors
- Managing the different resources used for writing, running and maintaining our ELTs
- Establishing sanity checks to catch data anomalies in the ETLs as early as possible
- Constantly improving our data structures

Based out of Frankfurt, Qualifyze was founded as a solution to the supply shortage in the pharmaceutical industry. This problem has become 20 times more prevalent between 2000 and 2018 and has led to pharmaceutical companies having to slow down research into new drugs for the treatment of serious illnesses.
Qualifyze's solution to this has turned the heads of investors and led to significant funding so far, which has been used to grow its supplier client base whilst expanding its offices across the EU.
