Who you are

Proven experience (5+ years) as a senior developer with at least 2 years of experience leading a development team
A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
Experience with developing in Ruby on Rails (React is a bonus)
Strong analytical skills and experience with technological research
Experience in a SaaS startup or scale-up is a plus

What the job involves

We’re searching for a Teamlead Backend Development to lead our technical team and provide innovative solutions for our platform
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with other teams, make technical decisions, and contribute to the ongoing development of our leading onboarding platform
As Teamlead Backend Development, you’ll be not just a technical expert but also a coach and motivator for your team
You’ll ensure that everyone in your team delivers their best while working together on the future of our platform
Leading and developing the technical team, aligning with the product strategy
Making technical decisions that contribute to the product’s vision and the success of the platform
Motivating, coaching, and developing team members to perform at their best (our team currently consists of 5 developers)
Translating stakeholder feedback into necessary technological improvements
Collaborating with the development team to assess feature implementation and time estimates
Align with Gijs (Director of Product & Development) on product developments and strategies
At Appical, we’re all about teamwork! You’ll work closely with engineers, product owners, and QA engineers to achieve the best results
Giving and receiving feedback is key to our growth, and we help each other continuously get better
