Role
Who you are
- You have solid demonstrable UX/UI design experience working in the design stage of the product development process
- You have experience developing web applications in React
- You have experience with design tools such as Figma or Sketch (We use Figma)
- You are passionate about creating strong user experiences to help people solve problems
- You are happy to move between projects quickly, often joining a project early to kick-start experimentation during the discovery process, before moving elsewhere once the product direction becomes more concrete. And comfortable working as an intermediary between technical and non-technical teams, with the ability to clearly communicate design and engineering concepts, adjusting your language appropriately depending on the audience.
- Any experience with Docker, Redux, Webpack, MaterialUI, REST APIs, Full-stack, testing frameworks would be a bonus.
What the job involves
- You will be involved early in new product initiatives, collaborating with designers and product managers to evaluate the feasibility of ideas, creating high-fidelity prototypes to aid the design process by validating ideas and gathering feedback about new features
- You will assist the frontend engineering team in their implementation of new designs, using your familiarity with both design and development to bridge the knowledge gap between the two teams
- You will also work proactively to improve the developer experience when working with design, finding ways to streamline how our designers and developers collaborate, such as ensuring our design system components are aligned both in the code and design files and building reusable component templates for commonly used design patterns.
