Role
Who you are
- Software Engineering and pipeline background preferably Java based
- Proven experience and understanding of modern engineering practices
- DevOps Tools (CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Harness, Sonar, Nexus, GIT, Docker Containers)
- Cloud Experience (at least one cloud provider including Kubernetes other services)
- Test Automation Tools Junit, Cucumber, Selenium, Postman
- Experience with common services including gateways, networks, databases, filesystems
- Experience with Observability and SRE concepts & tooling
Desirable
- Network protocols & security
- K8S, Kafka, Istio
What the job involves
- This exciting opportunity is within the Personalised Experiences and Communications (PEC) platform for a DevOps Engineer
- As the DevOps Engineer you'll lead, direct and shape approaches to solving technical challenges and translating business requirements into technical solutions
- You will work in a highly collaborative way to drive efforts to create, build, support and improve our software working closely with the product and engineering teams with lots of exciting new challenges
- You'll be a core contributor to ensure good quality and engineering practices are followed in accordance with engineering transformation strategy
- An ideal DevOps Engineer will need to be able to display broad and deep technical experience with a passion for engineering excellence
- We are looking for a dynamic and adaptable individual, able to use and learn new skills in varying circumstances
- You'll be curious about technology and understanding how things work and influence positively - demonstrating the right values and behaviours and encouraging this in team members!
