Role
Who you are
- You are an experienced web developer, with experience both in modern SPA frameworks, preferably React, and API implementation with node.js
- You want to build complex web applications to display large amounts of real time data
- You want to improve your frontend programming skills while working on interesting problems
- You have experience developing resilient, scalable applications deployed in a microservice environment
- You have experience in discussing and defining requirements alongside Product Managers and QA Engineers
- You want to work alongside other Frontend Engineers, participating in code reviews and pair code activities to increase the quality and consistency of code, as well as help members of the team develop their skills
- You are comfortable contributing to decisions concerning technology usage, common coding practices, and development processes shared by your team
- You have experience leading and mentoring Software Engineers
- You are comfortable working with colleagues in different parts of the world and in different time zones
What the job involves
- As a Principal Frontend Engineer at IntelliSense.io, you will be a vital force in the implementation of cutting-edge web-based interfaces
- Collaborating with a diverse team of Product Managers, Backend Engineers, QA Engineers, and UX/UI Designers, you will bring complex data visualizations to life
- Your role will involve not just technical leadership but also nurturing the growth of Software Engineers within our innovative company
- Designing breakdown features at an architectural level
- Deciding on technology, tools and processes to manage technical debts and improve our working cadence
- Embedding new technologies and tools in our working practices
- Collaborating with Product Managers, QA Engineers and Backend Engineers
- Supporting other Team members in growing their technical skills through your coaching and mentoring
- As you evolve in this role, you may progress to further levels of responsibility and leadership
- You could progress to a Distinguished Engineer role, taking ownership of higher-level design and architecture
- You may alternatively decide to progress along our Performance and Delivery track by becoming a Team Lead, supporting and enabling a team of colleagues
- As a Principal Software Engineer working on Frontend Development Teams, you will successfully execute on user stories, features and bug fixes agreed with Product Managers or the QA team
- You will evaluate and propose suitable solutions to the tasks, and implement these while following best practices
- You will document the solutions and communicate with the rest of the team through code reviews, pair coding or KT sessions
- You will communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders in the company to support the prioritization and scheduling of features and releases
- You'll set up and follow best practices and procedures for the team. Clear communication with the team to understand their present and future needs and keep the team informed about the progress of your work
- You'll proactively create a maintenance plan and execute it diligently to keep our tools at the highest level of availability and also ensure a high level of support and monitoring for our live sites
- You will contribute to the architecture of the software developed and maintained by your team, supporting other Engineers in technology selection, integration with other services, and systems design
- You will mentor Software Engineers in your team, helping them improve their skills and you will supervise their contributions ensuring code and procedure quality standards
- You will manage task assignments and help organize the team’s work to achieve the team objectives
