Who you are
- 2+ years technical writing experience in B2B software
- Excellent technical writing and editing skills with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate complex concepts, processes and business outcomes, clearly and concisely for the target audiences including marketing and technical users
- Preference for collaboration and feedback to continuously improve
- Ability to engage with all stakeholders including product, SMEs, engineering, support, technical services and customer success teams
- Tenacity to pursue a deep understanding of all required subject matter from a wide range of sources and colleagues to ensure highly effective documentation
Desirable
- Knowledge of Marigold capabilities
- Familiarity with Madcap Flare or similar technical authoring tool
- Experience with digital marketing and a strong understanding of the MarTech space
What the job involves
- We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering high quality documentation with an understanding of the key role it plays in a successful Tech company
- You will be part of the Product Enablement Technical Writing team within Product Management who are on a mission to help customers make the best use of Marigold product capabilities
- We do this through both the video content and documentation we publish internally and externally to optimize ROI and time to value for our customers
- In addition you will contribute to other user and technical documentation in line with business priorities
- As part of the product enablement team you will contribute to team goals of creating valuable user content, making that content easy to find, driving content adoption and measuring success
- You will support adoption of new tools and processes as the team evolves to meet the needs of the business
- Develop a deep understanding of portfolio capabilities and new releases
- Research and collaborating with target audiences
- Research and gathering user, and technical user information
- Create clear and concise material, including visuals, to provide step by step guides to accomplish tasks with defined outcomes
- Take care of layout design and consistency, editing and proofreading to ensure documentation meets Marigold technical writing standards
- Update, revise, and rewrite existing materials
- Keep up to date with best practices in documentation
