Role
Who you are
- We are looking for a dedicated Franchise Area Specialist (supermarkets and/or Horeca franchises) with a passion for tackling food waste based in Madrid or Barcelona
- You have significant sales experience including cold acquisition & retention
- Good knowledge or previous experience working with franchises (Retail & HoReCa) stores is a bonus
- Experience in the food industry is a plus
- You have strong communication skills and feel comfortable when you approach people via email, phone and face-to-face
- You are fluent in Spanish
- You have at least B2 English level
- You have genuine passion for the mission
- You need to be proactive, organized, and focused on details and accuracy
What the job involves
- Reporting to the Franchise Team Lead of Key Accounts you will play an active part in building our Franchise team
- Above all, in this role, you'll be a hunter focused on the acquisition of franchises
- You're hungry to get out there, build connections and grow our community of food waste warriors by signing up, maintaining and growing franchised supermarkets & HoReCa from all the retailers and key accounts present in Spain (Madrid or Barcelona)
- Sales Acquisition: Proactively call & visit potential franchise stores and build relationships. You will need to find, access and onboard the right stores via email, phone and visits. You will spend +80% of your time contacting & visiting supermarkets and/or HoReCa franchise owners and discovering new partners. As we want to tackle food waste all across the country, within this role you will occasionally visit some partners in different regions of Spain when required
- Post Sales: Improve and increase the efficiency of our existing franchise stores in saving food waste during the first month of life and make sure they save all their unsold items by ensuring their optimum performance and satisfaction
- Training: You will introduce new partners to the world of Too Good To Go, train them how to use the app and advise them on finding the best possible solution for food waste
- Research the market to find interesting prospects. Cooperate with your team to research accounts, identify stakeholders/decision-makers/master-franchises and generate interest about Too Good To Go
- You will work with key account headquarters to generate synergies and awareness within their franchised supermarkets through different strategies and action plans
- You will work with quarterly and monthly targets and KPIs
- You will work closely with other departments, like Marketing, to be sure they are aligned with your targets

With more than one-third of food wasted in shops and restaurants, tonnes of otherwise quality goods are unnecessarily lost. Too Good To Go connects customers to restaurants and stores that have unsold, surplus food, offering steep discounts. Through this, businesses can sell surplus meals that would've otherwise gone to waste, and the environment wins as no food is wasted.
The company has certainly found its niche with sustainability-conscious consumers (a group that is growing in size as environmentally-focused consumers get more spending power). Too Good To Go's app has over 90M users across 18 countries and 215,000+ partners including retailers, hotels and restaurants such as ALDI, Carrefour, Accor and YO! Sushi.
The company is also creating a food waste movement website intended to be an informative source of knowledge regarding the issue. This is part of a wider strategy at raising awareness of the food waste problem, to get more users on board and further help the planet.
