Role
Who you are
- We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who thrives in ambiguity, thinks systemically, and brings strong UI craft to complex, multi-surface experiences
- 5+ years of experience in Product Design / UX / UI
- Proven ability to translate complex, ambiguous problem spaces into intuitive user experiences
- Strong ownership mindset with demonstrated end-to-end product thinking
- Clear communicator who confidently explains design decisions and trade-offs
- Design the future of cooking that leverages the latest in IoT and AI
- Deep understanding of scalable design systems and platform thinking
- Experience working across multiple viewports (mobile, tablet, web, or device interfaces)
- Proficiency in tools such as Figma
- Experience working in cross-functional, agile product teams
Desirable
- Experience designing IoT, connected device, or smart home products
- Experience designing AI-powered experiences
- Experience working in multi-language, global product environments
What the job involves
- You will take ownership of translating ambiguous problem statements into clear, thoughtful UX direction
- Working across appliance interfaces, mobile, tablet, and web, you will shape cohesive experiences that scale across Fresco’s platform and partner ecosystem
- This is a high-impact role requiring strong end-to-end design thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to balance speed, consistency, and innovation
- Take the complex fragmented space of cooking in a multi-appliance kitchen, and turn it into a delectable, effortless experience that will ultimately empower millions to cook great food at home with ease
- Take strong ownership of the end-to-end design process — from discovery and framing to delivery and iteration
- Communicate design rationale clearly, articulating trade-offs and aligning stakeholders around informed decisions
- Design high-quality UI experiences across appliance interfaces, mobile, tablet, and web
- Apply best-in-class interaction patterns while adapting them thoughtfully to different viewports and device constraints
- Think systemically — ensuring individual UI decisions scale effectively across products and the broader platform
- Apply and extend Fresco’s design system to balance consistency with speed and product evolution
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, AI, and partner teams
- Contribute to the long-term vision of Fresco’s connected cooking ecosystem
Our take
Home cooking has become increasingly innovative in recent years due to smart cooking appliances, online recipes and ingredient management software. However, whilst all of these features are useful independently, many criticize them for their lack of connectivity with each other, showing a demand for an integrated solution.
Fresco supplies an app for smart home cooking, providing personalized tools that connect smart appliances and provide an augmented cooking experience. Users can view recipes based on the ingredients they have, follow step-by-step cooking instructions, control kitchen appliances remotely, and save their favourite recipes for future use.
Whilst cooking apps have been helping people for years, Fresco has taken this a step further by working directly with the appliances and ingredients in the user’s kitchen. With significant funding to support the broadening of its reach to more manufacturers and consumers globally, the company can continue encouraging people to cook more frequently due to the convenience that it provides.
