What the job involves
- As a Sr. Staff HR Business Partner, you are not an administrator - you are a high-level architect of organizational health
- You will act as the primary strategic advisor to our executive leaders, sitting at the table as a core member of their leadership teams
- You will be expected to challenge the status quo, drive radical accountability, and execute people strategies that enable fast, focused growth
- Partner with leaders at all levels to align their team structures and talent plans with Tenstorrent’s product roadmap
- Act as a candid sounding board for senior leaders, helping them build high-performing teams and navigate complex management challenges
- Use organizational data and metrics to diagnose issues, identify trends, and provide evidence-based recommendations. You won't just report data; you will use it to tell a story and drive action
- Act as the ultimate collaborator across the company. You will work seamlessly with Finance, Legal, Recruitment, and Compensation to ensure people initiatives are integrated and scalable
- Lead the thinking on how our teams should evolve as we scale. You’ll identify gaps in the organization and propose structural changes to keep us moving fast
- Take full responsibility for global programs, like performance and engagement surveys, ensuring they are executed with precision and fairness

Our take
Tenstorrent is a US- and Canada-based semiconductor startup specializing in processors for AI workloads. Rather than building gneral-purpose CPUs or GPus, the company develops custom chips and sofrware optimized for running moder AI models. As demand for AI accelerates, and as a global chip shortage reshapes the semiconductor industry, these trends have become strong tailwinds for Tenstorrent.
The company’s unique approach is to build for this future software, which it believes will be written at a higher level. Combining this with conditional computing, Tenstorrent supports a scalable distributed network approach that is analogous to a human brain.
While the market for specialized AI hardware is destined to be gigantic, the company has to compete with a plethora of hopeful startups (as well as major tech companies like NVIDIA and Qualcomm). That said, Tenstorrent boasts an excellent trajectory so far, with its latest moves including unveiling its high-end Wormhole AI processors, and a partnership with LG which will see the development of chips for "Affectionate Intelligence".
