Role
Who you are
- 7+ years of experience as a data engineer/backend engineer/analytics engineer, and/or as a technical lead
- 3+ years of experience as a people manager
- Experience with building customer-facing products and strong customer orientation
- Track record of designing and implementing highly scalable data solutions in accordance with legal requirements with focus on data quality and observability
- Experience with the cloud data platforms
- Experience in leading large and complex technical projects (1 year+ roadmap)
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
Desirable
- Experience with GenAI is a plus
What the job involves
- As the Engineering Manager (f/m/d)* for the Analytics team at Parloa, you will drive the development and continuous improvement of our data products, empowering both our customers and internal teams to innovate based on insights
- You will take ownership for customer-facing data products such as self-serve analytics tools, analytics APIs, and our data-sharing solution and oversee internal analytics capabilities, including Parloa’s data warehouse and self-serve analytics systems for decision intelligence
- Your team will play a pivotal role in transforming the customer service industry by harnessing the power of data
- Beyond technical leadership, you will foster an environment where engineers thrive—supporting their growth, inspiring collaboration, and guiding them to tackle complex challenges that make a meaningful impact
- Hire and lead a team of 5-7 data/analytics engineers, backend engineers and product analysts, sustaining a culture of speed, collaboration and technical excellence
- Build and continuously improve Parloa’s customer interfaces to work with data (self-serve analytics product, data sharing solution, analytics and conversation history APIs)
- Collaborate with Product Management to provide a strong vision and strategy for Parloa’s data products
- Empower your team to own data products end-to-end (ingestion, transformation, lineage, visualization) and to optimize the underlying data models and data pipelines for usability, scalability and cost efficiency
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to support them in maintaining a high standard of data quality and usability
- Together with product and business stakeholders, seize opportunities to leverage data for internal usage and decision intelligence
- Develop your reports via effective feedback and provide them with growth opportunities
