The Good Food Institute is a non-profit organization whose aim is to make alternative proteins the default choice for people. Good Food Institute differentiate themselves through having never patented their solutions. Instead, their research and data are open-access in order to support the progress of the alternative protein movement. Moreover, they offer research grants for studies about alternative protein, constantly advocate for various policies, and work with multinational companies in order to help them improve their supply chain efficiency.
The institute is fully financed by philanthropy. They are currently working in locations where, according to them, they can have the biggest impact on the global food system. This includes the US, Asia Pacific, Brazil, Europe, India, and Israel.
