Preligens develop AI technology to help intelligence organisations make decisions regarding international security. The AI offers complex analyses of GEOINT and MULTIINT data, and is offered for use predominantly in site monitoring, aerial and maritime situations. Geospatial intelligence is nothing new for military operations, but it is invaluable in bolstering existing data with precise location and timing, object identification, monitoring, and a host of other crucial details.
Preligens are positioning themselves as the “non-american alternative” in geospatial data analysis, and whilst the CIA’s In-Q-Tel find was interested in a buy-out, Preligens have remained both independent and French thanks to strong funding rounds. Whilst this kind of investment has historically proven rare in France, there are suggestions that an exception was made both for Preligen’s remarkable growth and for the importance of maintaining the young company as a French organisation.
Additionally, they have clear avenues for new markets. With one Preligens investing fund affiliated with the French Ministry for armed forces, this vote of confidence from French powers may help sway other NATO and EU bodies, as well as the UK and US, onto Preligen’s client roster.
