What the job involves

We’re hiring a Head of Growth Marketing to oversee all marketing demand generation and conversion activities
The Head of Growth Marketing will oversee the strategy and execution of all Overjet’s paid media and website activities to drive both businesses
Responsible for all of Overjet’s marketing demand gen initiatives, the ideal candidate must possess excellent quantitative skills and be a strong strategic thinker who can build acquisition strategies that support discrete business goals
Leading the development of Overjet’s marketing acquisition / conversion plans and managing their tactical delivery, including measurement and results tracking
Paid Media: Leading the strategy and execution of Overjet’s paid media presence across all channels, including search, programmatic, social, direct mail, and print media
Website: Owning the website and all key site flows, landing pages, and lead forms that drive leads towards conversion. Optimizing the site for SEO
Budget Management: Outlining and actively managing the budget supporting all “working” marketing investments
Volume Forecasting: Partnering with sales and finance to develop a forecast on the number of clinic leads we should expect based on our investment levels and then being accountable for that number
Partner & Channel Management: Working with advertising partners to optimize our spend, negotiate pricing, and monitor / optimize the performance of various marketing assets
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering with engineering (internally or externally) to optimize our website; partnering with sales to ensure strong alignment on targeting strategy
Measurement & Reporting: Partnering with analytics and sharing out the results of all paid marketing investments to the C-suite in partnership with the VP of Marketing

Our take

Overjet is a medical AI company that uses machine learning to analyze dental radiographs and uncover potential causes for concern in patients' oral health. Using data that quantify bone loss, tooth decay, and gum disease symptoms, the visually driven results help dentists and patients visualize their oral health status.

Whilst helping patients with their oral health is a lucrative business, dental insurance is in a whole different realm. In 2021, the dental insurance industry crossed the $80 billion threshold, and dental AI companies like Overjet have a large stake in this surge. Their AI tool, built and developed by Harvard dentistry graduates in 2018, is utilized by leading dental insurance companies in the US to help better value the type of insurance that their customers are eligible for.

This goes some way to explain how Overjet received Series A and B funding within just 4 months of each other in 2021. The dental industry may have been slow to embrace AI technology for practical healthcare purposes before Overjet and similar companies like Adra emerged, but the same products were quickly capitalized on by health insurance providers in the US. This double incentive for investors is a promising step forward for Overjet, which continues to forge partnerships with city and state-leading dental organizations and achieved impressive Series C funding in 2024.
