Who you are
- Licensed Solicitor
- Minimum Associate level
- Have worked in a law firm in the UK in a commercial role
- Understanding of commercial agreements that are sales, revenue, royalty based
- Understanding of IP
- Experience with GDPR
- Experience managing Shareholder agreements, investment agreements etc
- BA/BS/LLB degree or equivalent practical experience
- A Qualified solicitor in Scotland or England & Wales
- Broad experience of ecommerce, commercial and IT law, and experience of advising on data protection and liability issues
- Knowledge and understanding of commercial contracts, IP, Research & Development agreements, NDA, state aid and procurement law
- Minimum three + years of post qualified experience
- Analytical, problem solving and ability to implement effective and creative solutions in a legally compliant manner
- Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Confident and effective provision of advice to stakeholders to enable them to make accurate decisions
- Ability to work constructively with the Founders and Director of Operations with the ability to challenge decisions in the best interest for COMPANY
- Ability to work autonomously; must show ability and desire to “own a problem” and take responsibility for finding solutions
- Flexibility and ability to react quickly to changing priorities
- Proactive in approach to work
What the job involves
- We have grown over the past year to now needing an in house Head of Legal to help manage all aspects of our legal risk, contracts and agreements
- We are looking for someone experienced who wants to frame the business from this point
- Protect Genflow from any legal risk
- Manage all agreements that Genflow enters into in any capacity
- Work with external lawyers where needed
- Work with US lawyers where needed
- Create and manage all contracts/agreements for all clients worldwide which includes:
- Royalty based deals
- Equity deals
- Retainer fee based deals
- One off fee deals
- Create and manage all employee contracts
- Create and manage all freelance contracts
- Create and manage all NDA’s, disclaimers etc
- Create terms and conditions across sour products
- Liaise with clients lawyers and report tot hem where needed
- Negotiate contracts for Genflow when dealing with new clients

The rise of social media has led to a shift in the way marketing budgets are spent, with channels such as Instagram increasingly becoming go-to platforms. With many influencers vying for enough of a following to make good money through product placement, Genflow is aiming to be the partner to help influencers build something that will last longer than a one-off paid-for post.
Whilst it is a relatively niche space to operate in, there is increasing competition to support influencers, as the budget being spent on influencers grows. With a strong client list and successful case studies, it looks as though Genflow know what they are doing; with big names such as Anthony Joshua and Jordyn Woods on their books, the company has already managed to create a lucrative business.
The influencer sphere does not appear to be dying down anytime soon, so Genflow is operating in a potentially highly lucrative space. Given its strong position, the company will continue to help shape this industry; funding has been used to evolve Genflow's existing brands and propel its global expansion plans, and the company looks well placed to grow on the market.
