With data being used in almost every industry today, an increasing number of companies are considering machine learning algorithms to automate data usage. However, this requires expertise in computer science and requires a vast range of resources to set up.
Streamlit provides an open-source framework for app developers to integrate machine learning into their software. The open-source code is free to use but requires technical understanding of how to integrate it into app development. A paid application version of the framework is provided to allow companies to instantly begin using machine learning without needing this prior experience.
The software is already used by by over 50% of Fortune 50 companies and tech-giants such as Uber and Tesla. The company was recently acquired by Snowflake, with the two companies combined enabling developers to build apps using tools with simplified data access and governance. For Streamlit, the acquisition will offer its users the benefits of greater resources.
