- 🎯 Proven Closer with Hunger: 2–4 years of B2B sales experience with a track record of hitting or exceeding quota. You've closed deals with multiple stakeholders. You're competitive, resilient, and motivated by winning. You measure success by closed revenue
- 🔧 Startup Ready: Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to figure things out. You thrive on autonomy and ownership. Ideally you've worked at an early-stage company before. You're a doer, not just a talker. You write your own sequences, build your own lists, and test new approaches without waiting for permission
- ⚡ Quick Learner: Ability to become a domain expert in freight forwarding quickly. Prior logistics/supply chain experience is a plus but not required — what matters is that you can speak credibly with industry buyers after deep immersion
- 💡 Technically Comfortable: You can discuss AI, automation, and integrations with technical buyers without freezing up. You don't need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable learning technical concepts and explaining them clearly
- 📊 Data-Informed: You track your activities and conversion rates. You know what's working and what's not, and you're constantly optimizing your approach based on the numbers

What the job involves
- As a Founding Account Executive, you will be our first sales hire, working directly with our CEO to execute our go-to-market strategy and close deals. Your work will focus on owning the full sales cycle while learning to build repeatable sales processes and contributing to the commercial foundations that will scale with the company.
- Own Full-Cycle Sales: Execute the entire sales process from initial outreach through contract signature. Qualify leads, run discovery, deliver compelling demos, navigate objections, and close deals. You'll have significant autonomy and own your number
- 🧠 Master the Product: Become an expert in our AI automation platform and freight forwarding workflows. Run killer demos that resonate with different personas. Work with our Founding Deployment Strategist to refine our demo strategy and value propositions
- 📈 Build Pipeline: Execute multi-channel outreach including events, AI BDR campaigns, targeted ABM, and creative outbound. Test what works, iterate fast, and help establish our repeatable demand generation playbook
- ️ Navigate Technical Buyers: Handle conversations with freight forwarding operations, IT stakeholders, and executives. Manage technical discussions, security questions, and integration topics (with support from technical resources when needed)
- 🤝 Support Customer Success: Stay engaged post-sale through onboarding. Work closely with our Deployment team on handoffs. Identify expansion opportunities within your accounts

Across the various nexus points of the freight shipping business, automation is simply not agile enough to meet the customer demands and fluctuating data of the fast-moving industry. Nexcade is aiming to solve these problems through its agentic AI solutions.
Nexcade’s AI agents extract the unstructured data from emails and employee conversations to simplify pricing, rate procurement and quotes, effectively automating and tying together the various aspects of a freight business to work more efficiently. Effectively, communication chains are turned around from days to minutes, meaning that teams move from reactive to proactive mindsets.
Having emerged from stealth in 2025 with $2.5 million in pre-seed funding, Nexcade’s next step is to grow its customer base and strengthen its partnerships.
