Role
Who you are
- 3+ years in customer service or sales
- Experience with cold calling, prospecting, and organized follow-up processes
- Experience managing a full pipeline in Salesforce or other CRM
- Energetic, upbeat, tenacious team player with excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
- Fearless attitude – willing to take intelligent risks
- Strong organizational skills, detail and process-oriented
- Proficiency with standard corporate productivity tools (Microsoft Office/Google Suites, Slack, Zoom)
- Travel requirement is 25% +/- as needed
What the job involves
- The primary responsibility of an SDR is to generate qualified leads and set appointments for demos of our software for the company's Account Executives (AEs)
- The SDR is a key contributor to the sales team, working closely with Marketing and Sales to develop and implement effective lead generation strategies
- Conduct outbound prospecting activities to generate new business opportunities through various channels, including phone, email, and social media
- Identify and qualify potential customers by understanding their needs, challenges, and goals
- Articulate the value proposition of the SQUIRE platform to potential customers and educate them on how it can help solve their business challenges and create growth
- Leverage lead generation tools to proactively create lists of target prospect accounts
- Meet or exceed completed demos & revenue quotas every month
- Represent and demonstrate our company values, brand, and mission
- Reporting to Sales Development Manager
Our take
Squire takes point-of-sale management tools and focuses them entirely on the needs of barbershops. Before launching, co-founder Dave Salvant spent time talking to 600 different barbershop owners to understand the boxes Squire had to tick to be a worthwhile product. This included taking cashless payments and providing key insight into employee productivity, hours worked, and commission calculations.
This time spent in barbershops paid off, as Squire now has more than 2,000 customers in North America and the UK. There is considerable opportunity in the United States alone, as they have a potential customer base of more than 135,000 barbershops.
In March 2020, Squire’s revenue fell to zero when the COVID-19 pandemic forced barbershops to close. Luckily, the company had raised $34 million just days before this in a Series B funding round, which enabled it to help barbershops adapt and survive during their lockdowns. Now things have returned to normal, Squire is in high demand and in 2025, is valued at $750 million.
