Who you are
- 10+ years of compliance risk management experience in professional services, Fintech, or Financial services experience and or CRCM designation is a plus
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of financial services related laws and regulations
- Demonstrated knowledge of compliance/regulatory risks, processes, and control frameworks, and the ability to design and evaluate the effectiveness of controls embedded within business processes
- Clear, concise, and persuasive written and verbal communication
- Strong orientation to deadlines and detail
- Commercially-oriented creative thinker and problem solver
- Strong project management, critical thinking, and analytical skills

- Mature, professional and of unquestionable integrity, carrying out excellent judgment when handling sensitive information
- Proficiency in Excel/Sheets (VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, advanced conditional formatting, pivot tables and reporting, macros and VBA) and PowerPoint/Slides
What the job involves
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Compliance Operations Sr. Manager to focus on regulatory complaints and compliance risk management
- This critical role ensures adherence to applicable laws and regulations, enhances complaint-handling processes, and identifies and mitigates risks
- You will leverage data and technology to support the integrity and efficiency of EarnIn’s compliance programs
- This is a remote position that offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Analyze, review, and respond to regulatory complaints to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant resolutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the complaints management process, aligning with regulatory requirements and best practices
- Conduct root cause analysis of complaints to identify trends, gaps, or emerging risks and recommend corrective actions
- Monitor adherence to complaints-related policies and procedures, and test the effectiveness of processes and controls
- Identify and escalate potential weaknesses in the complaints management system, working with stakeholders to strengthen controls and address vulnerabilities
- Assist with marketing reviews to ensure alignment with applicable regulations and consumer protection laws
- Execute assigned projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion while seeking guidance as needed
- Foster collaboration and provide cross-functional support to other compliance areas, including financial crimes, fraud, and regulatory compliance programs
- Monitor the implementation of corrective actions resulting from complaint investigations and escalate issues as necessary
- All other duties as assigned
Our take

By allowing hourly workers access to their pay as it is earned rather than on a fixed date, it hopes to provide all Americans with the ability to deal with immediate costs without going into arrears.
Unlike competitors in this growing space such as Dave, Earnin charges no mandatory fees, instead gaining revenue through a voluntary tipping system. It also requires no credit checks to access its services, which puts it ahead of the growing number of digital banking solutions. This approach has garnered it a strong user base of over 300,000 business customers which offer Earnin as an employee benefit. Around 70 million paycheck advances were taken through the platform in 2022 alone, totalling $5 billion. Since then, this number has grown to an overall earnings access value of $15 billion.
Earnin is growing despite current difficulties in the wider tech landscape and is continuing to hire in all departments. It will continue to improve upon its offering and expand its network of businesses, aiming to give every employee in America control of the money they've earned.
