Our take
For large projects, the construction industry has taken a surprisingly long time to adopt management technologies that aid far smaller projects in other sectors. One company changing the way construction is done is Fieldwire, which offers a cloud-based solution designed to make construction projects of all sizes run smoother.
It does this by giving everyone involved, from the back office to onsite subcontractors, the ability to capture, organize and retrieve information when needed. To date, the company has powered more than 1 million commercial, industrial and residential projects worldwide.
Fieldwire has been cashflow positive since 2018, while the company has raised significant amounts from investors to continue to improve its system. This ongoing development is important to remain competitive with other companies offering project management software, with its acquisition by Hilti in 2021 further supporting its growth.
