The in-store retail experience has been the same for over 100 years. Generic promotions leading to information overload and wasted marketing spend. Confusing store layouts mean people can’t find products and sales are lost. Retailers have no information about shoppers behaviour in-store and can’t target accordingly. Staff spend their time giving directions to products leaving shelves unstocked. Hyper aims to change that by developing an augmented reality platform that helps users find their favorite products on the market.
Previously, technology has been the barrier to retailers being able to deliver a truly personalised experience - solutions have required expensive additional hardware or extensive store training and haven’t been scalable. Using cutting edge methods such as next-generation wifi-based indoor positioning (built on Apple’s Indoor Maps Ecosystem) in combination with their proprietary technology, Hyper is able to deliver a scalable, accurate and world-class experience right into the hand of customers.
Hyper allows customers to find their way to any product with turn by turn AR directions, allowing retailers to surface relevant products based on shoppers' intent, purchase history and in-store location. This also captures real, actionable data on customers' in-store shopping habits. Hyper believes that by giving shoppers the ability to find and discover products seamlessly, retailers can encourage a safe, contact-free, environment where staff can spend more of their valuable time on replenishing product. Moreover, no hardware must be installed or maintained because their technology uses existing in-store infrastructure leading to low costs and scalability.
Although the company's primary focus is geared towards shopping experiences, Hyper strongly believes its product will eventually find application in several other sectors such as airports and hospitals.
