Who you are
- 10+ years in B2B SaaS marketing, with at least 5 years leading product marketing or integrated marketing teams
- Proven success owning both brand and product marketing for a high-growth company
- Experience positioning and scaling a business as a category leader in a competitive or emerging market
- Deep understanding of AI, sales technology, and GTM strategy
- Strong leadership, communication, and storytelling skills — able to inspire teams and influence executives
- Data-driven mindset with a passion for measurable outcomes
What the job involves
- The VP of Marketing will be responsible for defining and amplifying Orum’s story — ensuring that our message resonates with the market, drives growth, and reinforces our leadership in AI sales tech
- This leader will oversee Brand, Product Marketing, Content, Communications, and Demand Generation, aligning all marketing programs around a unified narrative that fuels revenue and brand equity
- You’ll combine creativity with commercial acumen — blending storytelling, data-driven execution, and cross-functional influence to scale Orum’s impact
- Own Orum’s marketing vision, strategy, and execution across brand, product marketing, and demand generation
- Build and lead a high-performing marketing organization that drives measurable business outcomes
- Partner with the CEO, CGO, and CRO on strategic growth initiatives, market expansion, and category design
- Define and evolve positioning, messaging, and differentiation across Orum’s product portfolio
- Position Orum as a category-defining leader in AI sales technology through analyst, partner, influencer and media engagement
- Lead GTM strategy for new products, features, and strategic initiatives in partnership with Product and Sales.\
- Drive AI Coaching Suite adoption through compelling storytelling, enablement, and customer advocacy
- Oversee competitive intelligence, pricing strategy, and win-loss insights to inform GTM priorities
- Own marketing-sourced pipeline, while serving as a true partner to Sales in driving total pipeline and revenue growth
- Build and evolve a full-funnel demand engine that includes inbound, outbound support, ABM, lifecycle marketing, and field programs
- Partner with the Growth team to ensure demand programs align to market positioning and revenue goals
- Elevate Orum’s brand presence through high-impact campaigns, thought leadership, PR, and events
- Build content that educates, inspires, and differentiates — from narratives and case studies to executive-level insights
- Bring analytical rigor to both lower-funnel performance and upper-funnel brand and audience investments. Translate marketing activity into business outcomes with clarity, confidence, and credibility
- Align closely with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to drive cohesive end-to-end customer experiences
- Ensure consistent storytelling across all touchpoints — from marketing and sales and partner enablement to onboarding and retention
- Educate and influence stakeholders on modern marketing strategies, tradeoffs, and measurement
Our take
While Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms such as Salesforce and Salesloft have undoubtedly helped shorten the sales cycle, particularly by helping generate high value leads, the onus is still on sales teams to manually reach out to potential customers.
This part of the sales process has long been taken at face value, despite how much time sales agents lose by calling bad numbers, reaching voicemail, and navigating existing account data.
Orum is aiming to change this with an AI-powered platform that filters out poor numbers and automates voicemails. It calls multiple numbers simultaneously, all in a bid to get sales reps on live calls as quickly and often as possible. That Orum plugs into the major CRMs like Salesforce, rather than competing with them, should help its cause.
Orum’s trajectory has been very positive thus far, frequently expanding its headcount, achieving impressive Series B funding and winning a number of high-profile customers such as Salesforce partner Simplus and data protection company Clumio.
