To give companies a better way to show love and care to their people.
Salary is no longer the main factor for most people when looking for the next step in their career. Employers have noticed and are keen to attract and retain the best talent through perks such as discounts, gym memberships, subsidised travel and childcare. But these schemes are expensive and inflexible, and often aren't met with much enthusiasm from candidates. Enter Fringe, a startup which allows employers to enroll in its scheme and which gives employees credits to spend on whatever they want across its vast network of partners.
This approach has boosted retention in the companies that have joined the platform, reducing turnover by 50%. Success has bred imitation and challengers have appeared, each with their own twist on Fringe's formula. However, Fringe has an established customer base including Shipt, Uber and Turo, and it has made strategic partnerships to bring the platform to more enterprise businesses.
In 2022, Fringe completed a funding round led by Origin Ventures and Felton Group. It plans to develop the product further, expand to new markets and invest in acquiring more software engineering and marketing talent.
