Role
Who you are
- University degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
- Several years of experience working as an AI Engineer or a similar role in a tech startup and fast-paced environment
- Proven expertise in working with tools for transformation, categorisation, and classification of text data is a must
- Strong proficiency in data engine implementation, data manipulation, processing, and analysis
- Experience working with large-scale data analytics platforms and tools
- Experience working with APIs and integrating external data sources
- Solid programming skills in Python and familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and independently
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills combined with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Passionate about business sustainability, carbon emissions management, and decarbonisation strategy development in alignment with Carbmee’s mission and vision
- A supportive team player with a strong work ethic, excited to join our diverse and international team either remotely (within Germany) or in our offices in Berlin or Munich
What the job involves
- We are seeking a highly motivated AI Engineer to join our Solution Engineering team and contribute to our cutting-edge B2B enterprise carbon management platform
- In this role, you will work closely with data engineers, environmental engineers, and project managers, leverage your AI engineering expertise, and craft innovative solutions to address our clients’ carbon management needs
- Choose and train LLMs to automate and scale up services related to carbon emissions and sustainability based on clients’ purchasing data
- Manage training data and derive it from internal databases as well as data synthesizing (text data)
- Independently own the implementation of services and work with the DevOps team to plan and integrate services to process data on scale
- Connect the domain knowledge of your team members with your AI Engineering skills to create services
- Work with APIs and integrate third-party tools that can transform, categorise, and classify text data
- Design, develop, and implement data-driven solutions using our carbon management platform to meet client needs
- Share your knowledge and collaborate cross-functionally with the Product & Engineering teams, to drive platform enhancements and improvements based on client feedback
