Who you are

Linux – 10+ years developing Linux based production systems. Strong understanding of Linux kernel internals (e.g. Memory Management, Process Scheduling, I/O Scheduling, Socket Buffers, Virtualization/KVM, Live Migration, eBPF, perf)
Cloud – 10+ years developing core public cloud internals (e.g. Kernel, Device Drivers, Virtualization, KVM, QEMU, Software Defined Networking, Security, Fleet Health and Performance Monitoring)
Architecture – Ability to architect a resilient, large-scale, distributed system from a blank sheet of paper. Have a deep understanding of x86_64, aarch64 and GPUs
Programming Languages - Strong C background. Rust, Python and Go are nice to have. Minimum of 10 years implementing business-critical systems, from initial conception to successful launch
Leadership – 5+ years as a technical lead for a single or multiple teams
Mentorship – 5+ years of mentoring junior employees
Education – computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or physics preferred
Have led and taken full ownership over large, ambiguous, cross team projects from conception to production
Enjoy moving fast and making a large business impact
Value working on a team of high performers that hold each other accountable
Are a self-starter, curious, and not afraid to ask when in doubt
Are a quick learner, enjoy learning new technologies and methodologies
Value working on a low ego team that emphasizes strong communication, collaboration, and getting to the right answer as a team

Lambda is a leading provider of deep learning GPU cloud services and computing hardware, founded to aid in providing a solution to the difficult problem of teaching machines how to see and learn.

Their customers include Apple, Intel, Microsoft, Linkedin, and Fortune 500 companies like Microsoft and Amazon Research, so it's no coincidence that Lambda GPU Cloud ranks number three on a google search for 'GPU cloud', behind only NVIDIA and Google itself.

After a successful 2025, the company is now looking at an initial public offering in the second half of 2026. This comes after the company signed a multi-billion-dollar contract with Microsoft to provide the hyperscaler with access to its GPUs, and it's also believed to have signed a $1.5B lease-back deal with Nvidia. This, coupled with significant funding put Lambda in a very good position for future growth.
