Who you are

- Proven experience as a Cybersecurity, IT, InfoSec manager or similar role, ideally in gaming or tech
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices and experience with implementing security policies and procedures
- Experience implementing and maintaining endpoint cybersecurity tools like XDR
- Proficiency in hardware, network, including cloud infrastructure and mobile device management (MDM)
- Familiarity with IT compliance standards and data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, CRA)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- A passion for games and a drive to support our teams to create great games
Desirable
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms
- Experience managing software updates, patching, and endpoint security

What the job involves
- Snowprint Studios is looking for an IT & Cybersecurity Lead/Manager
- This is your opportunity to work with competent industry experts on a prestigious, multiple finalist and award winning* team and strategy game
- In this role, you’ll lead Snowprints IT infrastructure, ensuring our systems are secure, efficient, and compliant
- You’ll develop and monitor cybersecurity protocols, manage hardware and network operations, and provide essential software tools to our teams
- You’ll ensure compliance with data privacy and security legislation such as GDPR and CRA
- You’ll work closely with external providers to optimize IT services
- Your ability to take ownership, communicate effectively, and make strong technical decisions will be key in keeping our operations running smoothly
- With strong self-leadership— you will take initiative, collaborate with our teams, and drive improvements without waiting for direction
- In this role, you'll proactively identify security risks, optimize IT workflows, and ensure our teams have the best technical resources to create great games
Our take
Over the years mobile devices have become more and more powerful, and as a result people playing games on them have begun to expect more from what's on offer than the relatively simple titles of yesteryear. Recognising this change in the market, mobile gaming veterans from King, DICE and Rovio came together to form Snowprint Studios, a games developer aimed squarely at the growing "midcore" gamer demographic: players who game daily and expect a little more depth than casual clickers.
Snowprint has to date produced three major releases: Legend of Solgard, Rivengard and Warhammer 40,000 Tactitus (based on the popular Games Workshop franchise). These games have attracted uniformly high reviews for their tight gameplay and high production values, and the company has grown a playerbase of over 1.5 million gamers across its properties.
Developing within the Warhammer franchise was a smart move for Snowprint, as it taps into a playerbase that is comfortable with repeated microtransactions (in its original incarnation it was a rather expensive tabletop miniatures game where figures are bought individually or in small groups), and there are rumours of an Amazon series based on the property which will further bolster interest in Snowprint's offering. Snowprint accordingly is prioritising its marketing efforts and preparing for an influx of new players over 2023 and beyond.
